I don't dive much into affliction as you know, but I have read many articles on it and your spec is very close to one that I would use. I like points in MC over Cataclysm however in raids.

Here is a link to the spec http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IfxMbzMAoVi0IstZEM0V

I would go with Haunt -> UA -> Corruption -> Curse of Agony -> Immo -> SL -> SB initially and then work into Corruption > UA > Curse of Agony > Immo > SL > SB/DL

Always use the imp to maximize damage and bringing out the infernal is not unheard of with this spec.

I'm not sure what glyphs you are using, but I'd lean towards Corruption and Imp.

Currently this is about the highest damage build a warlock can shoot for, I just can't stand affliction and hope they give demonology and destro a little love

I saw wws of a warlock specced this way on 25 man Patchwerk and he put up 4580 DPS which is very solid.

Hope this helps a little, it looks as though you're heading down the right path.

I moved 2 points from cataclysm into MC instead of all three in cat. This should help DPS.. I hope ..lol

You are doing the right thing in researching and doing everything you can to maximize dps in raids. With that spec, more grapes, and a little experimentation you will do well.

The trinket macro is your friend right now, stupid Blizz and their "Use" crap.

Set bonuses are also unusually nice this time around, try to keep 4.

RoF on shorter trash pulls for some game crashing numbers :P

Get to know your infernal.

Gain top aggro and soulshatter on #2's face

Ah....ignore the last one. Just have fun and kick ass!

I'm not really an authority but I am an affliction lock, so, if you want any more input... here's my 2 cents :)

I wouldn't bother with cataclysm really. I'd probably take that 1 extra point and put it into Shadowburn personally :) Not much use on bosses but great for 1- or 2- mob trash pulls for that extra bit of dps at the end. Afflic locks are painfully short on ranged instants. Between haunt and demon armor you're getting enough self healing that an extra life tap here and there won't do any harm. Worse comes to worst, you can always death coil :D so mana's not a big issue imo.

I have 2/2 improved drain soul as well instead of amplify curse... I find I have troubles with threat sometimes as is, so I don't want to risk 10% extra threat.

I have one point each in grim reach and destructive reach just because of how motile many of the fights are. You'd be amazed how much easier it is just having those few extra yards to work with.

I also have 3/3 eradication. Most of the time you're casting non-instant spells (UA, Haunt, Shadowbolt) so it's surprisingly useful.

Other than that I think the specs are the same ^^
