Shadows of Chaos Guild Charter

Shadows of Chaos Guild Charter:
Shadows of Chaos is a late night end game raiding guild looking to progress into all of the end game raiding content while still keeping a fun and casual atmosphere. To this end most of what we do is focused on this goal of succeeding in the 10 and 25 man raid instances while maintaining a good balance between play time and real life. Thus the following charter has been established.

Guild Ranks:
There are 4 guild ranks within the guild, they are as follows:
1) Guild Leader - Jinedin (Dinedan)
2) Officer - Tashlama, Sekhem, Mathios, Kashtai
3) Raider - Character which has committed to one or more of the 10 or 25 man raids and has been accepted as a raider.
4) Member - Character which has joined the guild but is not part of the regular raiding roster. Additionally, most alt's are members.

Note: Raiders are not higher then Members, this is only a distinction to allow us to keep track of who is participating in the end game raiding aspect of the game vs. those that wish to join us for questing, PvP, 5-man's, etc. Members who wish to participate in raiding will need to demonstrate the ability to perform their class functions at an acceptable level as determined by the raid leaders/officers.

Loot:

25 Man Raid:
Due to the current semi-guild nature of ou-r 25-man raid we are using a Suicide Kings system to distribute loot. More information can be found in our forums.

10-Man Raids:
Loot for 10-mans will be determined by the raid leader at the start of raid. Generally we use /random 1-100 with main spec priority over offspec.

Heroic 5 Man's
Loot will be decided by the discretion of the group for any given run but again we will encourage people to pass to primary classes.

Alts:
As a general rule we don't have limits on Alts. What we would strive for is to put most of your effort into your main character as we want to progress as fast as possible given our limited play/raiding time. Bringing alt's to raids is NOT allowed unless pre-approved by the raid leader and for a specific reason (i.e. short a healer, etc.). In the event that you are asked to bring an alt to a raid to fill a specific need your Suicide Kings spot is granted to your toon as if you where there on your normal character.

Being Prepared for Raids (What does it mean here?)
At a minimum you will need to do the following to ensure you’re prepared for a raid.
1) Your gear has been enchanted with appropriate enchants for your role in the raid
2) Ensure your gear has appropriate gems for your role in the raid
3) Your spec is a solid raiding spec.
4) Your gear is repaired
5) Bring all appropriate pots, reagents, elixirs, flasks, food buffs
6) Install appropriate mod's for your class (Omen & Deadly Boss Mods are required)
7) Ventrilo is required (including having a microphone!)

Always Improving
Because we are a raiding guild and we are looking to see as much content as possible we ask that everyone always be looking to improve. If the officers feel that your play can be improved we ask that you take any criticism constructively. We do not expect everyone to be the best players in the game but we do expect everyone to be open to suggestion and to take initiative to maximize their role within the raid.

Shadows of Chaos – Code of Conduct
1. All members are expected to follow the game rules established for World of Warcraft by Blizzard Entertainment. You can familiarize yourself with these rules by reading the EULA which is accessible on their website and displayed in-game after each patch. Members of Shadows of Chaos should never perform actions that would result in warnings and/or suspensions such as scamming, unattended macroing, abuse of game bugs, etc.
2. Our guild membership is over 18 and mature. This means our guild chat can get a bit profane at times. There may be situations where someone is offended by something that is said. If you’re offended, please simply ask the speaker to stop. If you’re the one who gave offense, please respect other’s feelings and end that line of communication immediately.
3. Members are expected to treat each other with civility at all times. It is understood that not everyone will be best friends with all other members, or even like each other for that matter.
