Shadows of Chaos Guild Charter

Shadows of Chaos Guild Charter:
Shadows of Chaos is a late night end game raiding guild looking to progress into all of the end game raiding content while still keeping a fun and casual atmosphere. To this end most of what we do is focused on this goal of succeeding in the 10 and 25 man raid instances while maintaining a good balance between play time and real life. Thus the following charter has been established.

Guild Ranks:
There are 5 guild ranks within the guild, they are as follows:
1) Guild Leader - Chess
2) Officers - Tashlama, Trizzy, Sekhem, Sesha, Eidolona
3) Raiders - Characters which have committed to one or more of the 10 or 25 man raids and has been accepted as a raider.
4) Members - Characters which have joined the guild but are not part of the regular raiding roster. Additionally all alt's are members.
5) Peon's - people who have recently joined the guild (1 month probation period)

Note: Raiders are not higher then Members, they is only a distinction to allow us to keep track of who wants’ to participate in the end game raiding aspect of the game vs. those that wish to join us for questing, PvP, running 5 man's, etc. Those members which do wish to participate in the raiding aspect of the guild will need to demonstrate the ability to perform their class function at an acceptable level as determined by the raid leaders/officers.

Loot:

25 Man Instances:
Because our guild is a progression guild we use a combination Discussion/Zero Sum DKP with primary raid roles having priority. Please read the following post which details our loot system. http://www.shadowsofchaos.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=97

10 Man Instances:
Loot for 10 man instances will be determined with /random 1-100. Again primary classes will have priority over secondary classes.

Heroic 5 Man's
Loot will be decided by the discretion of the group for any given run but again we will encourage people to pass to primary classes.

Alts:
As a general rule we don't have limits on Alts. What we would strive for is to put most of your effort into your main character as we want to progress as fast as possible given our limited play/raiding time. Bringing alt's to raids is NOT allowed unless pre-approved by the raid leader and for a specific reason (i.e. short a healer, etc.). In the event that you are asked to bring an alt to a raid to fill a specific need all DKP is granted to your main as if you where there on your normal character.

Raid Times:
Raid times are between 8:00 PST and 12:00 AM PST on Sun, Tues, and Thur's. As we create multiple 10 man raids we may have one on the weekend but this will not be a required raid. Additionally this guild has been created specifically to raid during these time frames if these are bad times for you then you should pursue a different guild with a better schedule for you.

Being Prepared for Raids (What does it mean here?)
At a minimum you will need to do the following to ensure you’re prepared for a raid.
1) Your gear has been enchanted with appropriate enchants for your role in the raid
2) Ensure your gear has appropriate gems for your role in the raid
3) Your spec is a solid raiding spec.
4) Your gear is repaired
5) Bring all appropriate pots, reagents, elixirs, flasks, food buffs
6) Install appropriate mod's for your class (Omen & Deadly Boss Mods is required for everyone)
7) Vent is required for everyone with a Microphone

Always Improving
Because we are a raiding guild and we are looking to see as much content as possible we ask that everyone always be looking to improve. If the officers feel that your play can be improved we ask that you take any criticism constructively. We do not expect everyone to be the best players in the game but we do expect everyone to be open to suggestion and to take initiative to maximize their role within the raid.
